IT Home reported on October 30 that Huawei today released the latest rollout progress for its HarmonyOS 7 system.
Currently, series including the Mate 80, Pura 90, nova 16 and MatePad Pro Max have begun receiving a general rollout of the upgrade, while series including the nova 12, nova 13 and 2023 MatePad Pro 13.2-inch have opened recruitment for the Huawei Fans Beta.

The HarmonyOS 7 operating system was officially unveiled on September 7, 2026, at Huawei’s “HarmonyOS 7 | HUAWEI Mate XT 2 and All-Scenario New Products Launch,” with a public beta opening the same day. The system emphasizes a new spatial aesthetic and features the Harmony Intelligence architecture. This update, HarmonyOS 7.0.0.111, focuses on frequently used scenarios including device connectivity, communications, MeeTime and tablet creation, enabling cross-ecosystem connectivity with iPhones. Models including the Mate 80 series and Pura 90 series can use the “HarmonyOS Galaxy Connect” app on an iPhone to transfer messages between devices, locate each other’s devices and share network connections. It also adds shared communication through group assistance, a “view once” privacy option for Air Transfer, a “Find Friends” feature for MeeTime live intercom, and tablet features including comic panels and a dictionary pen.
The distinction is that the general rollout is open to all eligible users, who can check for and install the stable release directly through Settings > Software update. The Huawei Fans Beta, meanwhile, is a test version that users must apply to join; it gives them access to a version that has not yet been officially released and may be less stable than the stable release.
In addition, not all older models can upgrade to HarmonyOS 7. According to information from Huawei’s developer community, devices including the Mate 40 and earlier, P50 and earlier, and those equipped with Kirin 9000 or earlier chips cannot receive HarmonyOS 7.0 because their hardware does not support the full features of native HarmonyOS.
