AI introduction

A post says Anthropic’s updated S1/IPO filing suggests future models may soon reach a recursive self-improvement threshold. It describes the policy threshold as AI capabilities improving at twice the fastest sustained pace without major AI help. The post also says Anthropic’s internal use of Claude grew more than 250-fold in eight months.

Anthropic’s lastest updated S1/IPO filing report shows future models may imminently reach its recursive self-improvement (RSI) threshold.

Its Responsible Scaling Policy defines that point as AI capabilities improving at 2x the fastest sustained pace seen without major AI help.

So 1 year would deliver 2 normal years of progress, plausibly because models are automating research and engineering.

In 8 months, Anthropic’s internal use of Claude grew over 250 times, and in April its monthly value passed what the company spends on its people.

QuoteRohan Paul@rohanpaul_ai
Anthropic's own AI was already doing 26% of the work to build its next models (RSI). "If you go back to August, Anthropic published a very interesting blog talking about how they were using RSI. They had a chart showing that 26% of their tasks that are involved in trying to create the next generation of models, they were already were using RSI to do that. Now, that was back in August, so who knows what they're at now, being in October." - @DavidSacks ---- Full video on "All-In Podcast" YouTube channel, (link in comment)
