IT Home reported on October 27 that Deepal announced today the major rollout of OTA V5.4 for the Deepal S09. The model is among the first to feature Huawei Qiankun ADS Max V5.0.2, bringing improvements in 4 major areas and more than 20 new features.

The Deepal S09 is Deepal's flagship large 6-seat SUV. It was officially launched and deliveries began at Deepal Brand Night on May 22, 2025. Its official guide price ranges from 239,900 to 309,900 yuan, and it is the first model under Deepal's “Smart Leadership 2030” strategy. The vehicle measures 5205/1996/1800 mm, has a 3105 mm wheelbase, and uses a 2+2+2 six-seat layout.
All Deepal S09 variants come with Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system, with 2 configurations: the entry-level ADS SE and the higher-end ADS Max. The ADS Max version has 1 192-line lidar unit (with a detection range of about 250 meters), 3 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and multiple high-sensitivity cameras, giving it more extensive sensing hardware than the ADS SE version.
