IT Home reported on November 5 that the first OTA update for the Qiyuan T1 robot will begin rolling out tomorrow, adding support for intelligently recognizing stairs and automatically changing form, remote audio and video calls, and more.
IT Home has compiled the details below:
Intelligent stair recognition and automatic transformation, with quadruped following: While following a user, it can independently recognize stairs, switch to quadruped following, and go up or down them. Users can also give direct commands: “Follow me upstairs” / “Follow me downstairs.”
Remote audio and video calls: Check in on family anytime, even when you are away from home. Connect remotely through the app to talk and see what is happening while it moves, and control it as it moves around the home.
Integration with Youdao HiEcho: It intelligently matches the difficulty of spoken-language practice, supports a dedicated children's mode, offers adjustable speech speed and help in Chinese, and generates a report after practice.
Scheduled reminders: Set a task by voice or through the app. At the scheduled time, it announces the reminder after seeing the designated user.
Improved biometric matching: Face and voiceprint enrollment can be initiated by voice, making matching more accurate.
On-device video recording and AI image generation: Say “Record a video for me” to film while moving. After taking a photo, you can also generate a comic-style image with AI in one tap.
Introductory AI course: A new first lesson, “Meet New Friends on Earth,” has been added.
DIY features: PrimeFLOW offers customized skins, PrimeHEART lets users customize “personality and voice,” and Prime Toolkit supports configuration for secondary development and one-click skill deployment.
IT Home noted that Qiyuan officially unveiled the Qiyuan T1 robot at its 2026 global robot product launch on September 20:
The Qiyuan T1 is priced at 19,999 yuan.
The Qiyuan T1 Pro is priced at 29,999 yuan.
The Qiyuan T1 can switch between a wheeled-legged humanoid form and a quadruped form. It is claimed to be the “world's first transformable personal robot,” and the company demonstrated the transformation at the event. The Qiyuan T1 comes in 5 color options, stands about 100 cm tall, weighs about 16 kg, has a battery life of about 2–3 hours, and is equipped with compliant force-controlled joints. It can automatically switch forms according to road conditions and can actively avoid obstacles and recognize identities.
