IT Home reported on October 29 that Huawei’s official website now shows that recruitment has begun for users to try the HarmonyOS 7 beta upgrade on the HUAWEI WATCH 5 series smartwatches.
Registration is available through the following channels:
Huawei phones/tablets: My Huawei/Services app > Home > Try Updates (follow the prompts to register with one tap).
Phones/tablets from other brands: WeChat Mini Program > My Huawei > Tap the image of the corresponding product under Popular Activities on the home page (follow the prompts to enter your information and register).
Huawei has begun rolling out a new version (7.0.0.107 SP18) to the WATCH 5 series smartwatches. IT Home provides the update log below:
1. The system interface has been completely refreshed. Watch faces and the multitasking list now feature dynamic light and shadow effects, offering a more refined and fluid interactive experience;
2. A new HarmonyOS 7 Light Dome watch face has been added. Soft, flowing light sweeps across the dial, with delicate, translucent layers of light and shadow that bring stillness and movement together on your wrist;
3. Health Clover has been upgraded to the Healthy Living app, with a new diet category. After setting up the relevant check-in tasks in the Huawei Health app, you can unlock the four-leaf clover model, helping you develop healthy habits across multiple areas;
4. Celia Suggestions on the leftmost screen now supports topics including notification summaries, important dates and commute overviews, providing smarter services tailored to different situations (supported when paired with a phone running HarmonyOS 6 or later; you must also download the Smart Distribution Service from the phone’s app store);
5. AI call noise reduction is supported, so the other person can hear your voice clearly during a Bluetooth call even when your surroundings are noisy;
6. Earthquake warning alerts from Huawei phones can be synced to the watch for timely notifications;
7. In Settings, “Always On Display” has been renamed “Screen-off Display.”
