IT Home reported on October 31 that the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit was held in Shenzhen on October 30.

At a session on industrial applications of Tencent Maps, Tencent officially unveiled a comprehensive overview of its Agent capabilities and opened up its Maps Agent capabilities to enterprise customers, smart hardware makers, and developers.

IT Home has learned that Yuanbao, WeChat Xiaowei, OPPO's Xiaobu Assistant, Rokid AI glasses, and Guangfan AI full-sensory wearables, among others, have already integrated Tencent Maps' Agent capabilities.

In Yuanbao, users can call up the map to plan a route with a single sentence, and a ride-hailing service activated by a single sentence will also launch soon.

Through Xiaowei, users can access a native AI-plus-maps experience across scenarios such as Channels and chats. For example, after seeing a video recommending a shop on Channels, they can find its physical location with a single sentence.

For cars, Tencent's in-vehicle Maps Agent brings together 5 Agents for trip planning, map rendering, ecosystem content, intelligent navigation, and parking guidance. With a single sentence, it can plan a multi-day family trip across cities, recommend nearby restaurants based on users' tastes, and use vehicle sensor data and lane-level data to make real-time judgments about complex traffic flows.

For smart wearables, Tencent Maps and Rokid have launched what they call the industry's first ride-hailing service native to AI glasses. Without taking out a phone, users can complete the entire process of requesting a ride, choosing a vehicle, and paying through conversation. The same ride-hailing capability has also been implemented on Guangfan AI earphones.

For coordination across devices, Tencent Maps is working with HarmonyOS to advance the transfer of map capabilities between devices in the OpenHarmony ecosystem. It has also launched a screen-projected navigation solution for HarmonyOS-powered smart electric two-wheelers with NIU Technologies and says it is the first in the industry to make the solution fully available, allowing riders to navigate continuously from their phones to their vehicles' displays.

In September this year, Tencent Maps also worked with OPPO ColorOS to create a “1+N” agent collaboration model and jointly released what they call the industry's first system-level, memory-enabled agent for travel scenarios. After launch, planning a trip went from a 9-step process to a single sentence; click-through rates in related scenarios doubled, and next-day user retention increased by nearly 1.5 times.

According to the company, these Agent capabilities are also available to all developers through Agents such as WorkBuddy. With Agent-friendly interfaces including MCP Server, Agent Skills, and connectors, developers can give their apps the ability to understand the real world, plan routes, recommend places, and call up travel services without adapting them from scratch, letting every user define their own map.

In addition, Tencent Maps released LBSwork, a desktop AI map workspace based on the same Harness framework as WorkBuddy, providing a one-stop “AI + maps” offering for business customers in retail, transportation, tourism, and other industries.
