Claimed Anthropic model leak on Hugging Face faces scrutinyMachine translation

This Hugging Face repo is so much in the news. Called burner22/numbat with 14Trillion params, claims to be a leaked mid-training checkpoint of Anthropic’s next Mythos-class model. but ofcourse there is strong evidence it is fake. the name is real, since “Numbat” was an unreleased model codename exposed in Anthropic’s March 2026 Claude Code source leak, but the account was created only a week before the upload, and an independent check found that parts of the weights were produced by a simple random number generator, not by any training.
