US judge allows Claude Max usage-limit lawsuit to proceed
A US federal magistrate judge ruled that consumers may pursue the main allegation that Anthropic misled them about Claude Max usage limits. Anthropic advertised its $100 and $200 monthly plans as offering five and 20 times the Pro plan's usage, respectively. The plaintiffs say that, measured over a full week for one Claude model, the figures are only 3.5 and six times. The judge rejected Anthropic's explanation that the advertised multiples applied to a single usage period.
