Apple announces China launch of Apple Intelligence with Alibaba’s Qwen integration

Apple announced that the first Apple Intelligence features are coming to China, with Alibaba’s Qwen integrated into Siri, Writing Tools and Visual Intelligence. Testing is set to begin in an iOS developer beta on November 4, with a wider release planned alongside iOS 27.3 in December. Alibaba says users can choose whether to enable Qwen, and consent will be sought before questions, documents or images are sent to it.
