Westlake University establishes world model research center focused on physical reasoning and interactive decisions
The Westlake World Model Center was established on October 31 at the Yungu campus. It will study how AI can understand physical laws, predict environmental changes and make interactive decisions. Its underlying AutoLab research proposed a “concept world model” that combines physical concepts in a latent space. The article says its success rate on complex tasks was significantly higher than traditional imitation learning and reinforcement learning baselines, without giving figures.
