IT Home reported on October 28 that this morning (the 28th), Doubao announced through its official account an overall upgrade to Doubao Work’s ability to operate computers, with improved precision and speed when clicking on the screen, making it more accurate and faster.
After previously adding support for operating across applications and recording browser operations as skills, this update allows recorded computer operations to be saved as skills. According to the introduction, users can demonstrate a process once while explaining it as they go, teaching Doubao Work how to do it. Once Doubao has learned it, it saves the process as a skill and can follow it next time; tasks can also continue after a Mac is locked.
After recording ends, Doubao Work organizes the operations and explanations into a personal skill. The next time users perform a similar task, they can select that skill and tell it what needs to be handled this time, avoiding the need to explain the steps again.
In addition, after enabling “Allow Doubao to work while the screen is locked” under “Settings → Work Task Mode Settings,” tasks that require operating the computer can continue while the Mac is locked. Even after leaving the computer, users can send tasks to the locked Mac from their phones and view the results on their phones. When they return to the computer, they can unlock it and take over at any time.
According to IT Home, following multiple updates, Doubao Work has gradually added support for one-click importing of conversations and memories from ChatGPT and other services, a canvas, multiple Agents working in parallel, and operating a Mac computer.
“Doubao Work” is a new Agent product and brand launched by Doubao for productivity use cases. It can independently break down tasks around users’ goals, call tools, and keep complex workflows moving forward.
