Nebula AIOS is an operating system launched by ZTE in November 2024 and first installed on the Nubia Z70 Ultra. The first generation of Nebula AIOS featured a cloud based large model with hundreds of billions of parameters and a 3 billion parameter on device model, spanning natural language, speech, imaging, vision, multimodal capabilities, and other areas. Through voice interaction, users could book tickets with AI voice commands and control emojis by voice, as well as use a single sentence to search images intelligently with AI, generate captions with AI, and post to social media. It also supported translation in various settings, including face to face conversations, dialects, phone calls, subtitles, meetings, and on screen content.
Among the models receiving this upgrade, the Nubia Z80 Ultra was officially released on October 22, 2025. It features the fifth generation Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chip, a 6.85 inch “Sky Full Screen” display, a large 7200mAh battery, 90W wired fast charging, and 80W wireless fast charging. Its photography focuses on a pair of prime street photography focal lengths: 35mm and 18mm.
