Baidu Apollo unveils ApolloWorld for virtual testing of its robotaxi service
Baidu Apollo says its ApolloWorld model is already used to test and validate its robotaxi service, generating traffic scenarios that respond to a vehicle’s actions. According to Baidu, one day of virtual testing covers roughly the distance a safety-driver-equipped test car would travel in three years. The report also says Waymo released Waymo World Model and AMD announced an acquisition of World Labs.

Baidu Apollo unveils Apollo World for autonomous driving
Apollo World lets self-driving cars interact with decision-making traffic agents in a virtual city and generates camera images and lidar point clouds in real time for repeated testing. Baidu says the model is already used to test and validate Apollo Go globally.
