OpenAI says ChatGPT and Codex will share usage limits starting in December
Starting in December, Plus, Pro and Business users will have their ChatGPT and Codex usage combined and measured in tokens. Consumption will depend on the model and task complexity, while Instant Chat will not count against the limit. Users will be able to check their remaining allowance and reset time in Settings; if they run out, they can wait for a reset, upgrade or buy credits.
