Mamma Mia! The Party Set for Sydney Premiere in March 2027

According to tour promoter and venue operator Live Nation, Zara Larsson closed her Midnight Sun Tour at Auckland’s Spark Arena. Attendance reached 12,796 on Oct. 25 and 12,798 the following night; the two-night total of 25,594 was also a venue record.

HP, ASUS and Acer reportedly move some PC production back to China

Nikkei Asia reports that HP, ASUS and Acer are moving some PC production from Thailand and Vietnam back to China and working with new contract manufacturers as AI demand drives up the cost of memory and other components. Dell is evaluating a similar move. Omdia data shows that the bill of materials for a category of mainstream PCs rose from $435 in the first quarter of 2025 to $699 in the third quarter of 2026.

Microsoft launches MAI-Image-2.7-Preview for image editing

Microsoft has launched the MAI-Image-2.7-Preview image editing model, which users can try on Arena, Artificial Analysis and MAI Playground. It currently edits existing images using text instructions; text-to-image generation is not yet available. Microsoft says it improved over MAI-Image-2.6 across all 10 use cases and seven editing categories in an Artificial Analysis evaluation.

Oracle to deploy Google TPUs on its cloud starting in 2027

Oracle will provide power, cooling and data center networking, while its Acceleron network connects TPU clusters to Oracle databases and storage. This would let enterprises fine-tune and serve models alongside their records without cross-cloud transfers. Google claims its eighth-generation TPUs offer up to 80% better performance per dollar for low-latency serving; Oracle will deploy capacity from 2027 and ramp it up over several years.

JoJo plans a November acoustic tour, “The High Road: 20 Years Unplugged,” to mark 20 years since her second album, The High Road. She says the setlist will feature most of the album’s original tracks and songs from the same era. The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed that attackers are exploiting two serious PHP flaws and ordered federal civilian agencies to patch their systems within three days. The report says attackers can remotely compromise vulnerable systems without a password, and researchers at Calif used an AI model to find a way to exploit the flaws.
