Microsoft has invited some Windows Insider members to test the new photo experience and plans a gradual rollout to all Windows 11 users later this year. The current app will become Photo Viewer for individual images, while a new Photos app will bring together local, OneDrive and iCloud libraries; File Explorer’s Gallery helps users find recent photos. Natural-language search of local photos will still require a Copilot+ PC.
