Tesla begins early Optimus production in Fremont as first robots come off the line

Tesla says Optimus has entered an early production ramp at its Fremont factory, with the first robots meeting production quality standards coming off the line, while hardware design and manufacturing processes are still being refined. Musk plans to build about 10,000 to 20,000 robots to practice tasks and collect data in training facilities; he expects deliveries to outside companies around the end of 2027.
